I think William may just have interrupted your lunch to check on the 3 for 2 TeleVue Radian sale - he was on the phone with "Don" to make sure the 3 for 2 was good with the sale pricing, so thanks to Scope City!
William and I talked for a while and discovered many common memories starting with Comet West. I wanted to tell you what a nice guy he is (that helped the sale today because I stopped in to get a couple of books and wandered the store while I was on the fence about so much $ for new eyepieces), and pass on how well he does with his group of Las Vegas Scope City customers that go to his observing nights. I've run into them a few times at the sites I sometimes use on the southeast outskirts of Vegas. William works to get them all used to their Go-To's, learning the sky, troubleshooting scopes and viewing techniques, etc., with good after the sale service.

This place has a great selection of binoculars. I went in wanting binoculars to view a sporting event but knowing NOTHING about binoculars. Mike, explained all the details about binoculars and was patient in letting me try out many. Once I found one, he even called me 2 weeks later to let me know that they had another pair in that might suit my needs better. Fantastic place! I highly recommend it. It is great to have specialty shops around nowadays with all the big box stores.

When I first visited Scope City in San Francisco, I was interested In a Meade LS 8". Sam, the manager, while he did not have one in stock, set up an LS 6 and put it through its paces inside the store. It was a bit magical watching the scope align itself INSIDE THE STORE. I was sold (or so I thought). I paid for a LS 8, however it would not be in until the end of June. That gave me too much time on my hands and after really thinking about how I wanted to use the scope I felt that it was not the right one for me. I decided on a Celestron CPC 800 GPS. Called Sam, he had one, I drove down, and that night I was using the scope. Sam made the switch of my payment from one scope to the other easy and kept making suggestions about accessories that I would need (good suggestions, too. What a seasoned amateur would tell a newbie).
While I have a 25 year old C8, I never dealt with an astronomy store proper. Newly retired, I wanted to again do things that a UPS career had prevented. Sam has helped me to achieve part of that goal. I have had the scope about two weeks now and I am having a blast. I have watched Sam in his store with others and he has always been polite, attentive, and helpful. I could not recommend anyone more highly than Sam at Scope City in San Francisco.
By the way, he is also a great supporter of local astronomy organizations.

Sam and Maria Sweiss of our local San Francisco Scope City store really know their optics. I and many of my friends are birders, and the enjoyment for our sport depends on the best binoculars and scopes. Scope City has everything we need and, on top of that, Sam, Maria and staff are genuinely nice people to deal with. They give great advice and have helped me and my birder friends get the right equipment at a fair price. As a result, their store has become our "go-to" place for optics.

Hi everybody, I am an Airline Pilot and last week while my layover at San Francisco, I purchased a Gemini System for my G-11 mount, that I`ve been using with my C-11 Telescope, I get it from Sam at San Francisco store. I have to tell that I got all the possible advice and attention from him and his team. But when I returned to Guadalajara and installed the system, a motor coupler was missing. Great issue, it was difficult for me to return to San Francisco, so I e-mailed Sam to let him know. And this is the more interesting thing, Sam took a couple of actions and solved the problem immediately, he got me a new coupler direct from the factory, sending it straight to me. This was my first time at this store, and I am impressed and pleased with the customer service, attention and kindness that Sam, Elliot and Jorge showed to me. Don`t stop, keep going guys, you already got one more customer.
